This initial dialogue is not content gathering. Rather, it allows us to assess the scope, complexity, and sensibility of the project ahead.
Based on this, we determine what kind of editorial resources your memoir requires and carefully match you with the appropriate interviewer and ghostwriter. Memoarguiden works with writers at different levels of experience and specialisation — from seasoned journalists and editors to highly senior literary collaborators.
Each project is assembled individually. The choice of writer, the editorial depth, and the overall production process determine both timeline and investment.
Projects typically range from €9,000 to €50,000, depending on scope, structure, and level of editorial involvement. All projects are handled with care, discretion, and professional rigor, regardless of scale.
Interviews, paced to your calendar and temperament
Some clients prefer a concentrated series of deep conversations; others choose a slower sequence of 8–16 interviews across several months to allow reflection between sessions. We adapt to your rhythm and schedule, to capture/interpret: decisions, intellectual influences, turning points, and the quieter context that gives a life its meaning.
From spoken memory to structured chapters
After each session, your words are transcribed and shaped into draft chapters. We preserve your voice while bringing editorial clarity: chronology where needed, thematic cohesion where it serves the text, and a narrative line that holds. You review each draft and may refine, expand, or correct in dialogue with the editor.

If you wish, we integrate curated primary sources such as letters, photographs, annotations, timelines, and selected documents—so the memoir reads as a record with depth and credibility.
